NEVER ALLOW THE ENEMIES TO WEAKEN OR FRUSTRATE YOU – Day 195

Text: EZRA 4:1-24

Memory Verse: Then the people of the land weakened the hands of the people of Judah, and troubled them in building, and hired counsellors against them, to frustrate their purpose, all the days of Cyrus king of Persia, even until the reign of Darius king of Persia. (Ezra 4:4-5)

Message: We really need to understand that the enemies do not want us to do much for God, particularly when it has to do with building for God and His kingdom. The devil specializes in discouraging or hindering us as believers or even the church from doing God’s work or from building for Him. It is not in the interest of the devil for churches to be built, for souls to be won and delivered from sin and the power of darkness. It is not the delight of the enemies for the church to do crusades and organize outreaches to draw people to God’s kingdom. But we must be very determined and resolute to advance God’s kingdom in spite of the devil, especially now that we are fully aware of his strategies. Nehemiah was determined with some others to rebuild the broken walls of Jerusalem but there were enemies who had a contrary mission to weaken the people of God with discouragement. We were told also that the enemies even hired counselors just to frustrate the people of God from achieving their purpose. We need to understand that our nonchalant attitudes towards God’s work are not ordinary; they are often orchestrated from the power of darkness.

Wisdom Nugget: If the devil cannot stop your commitment to God, he cannot tamper with your destiny.

Prayer Point: I come against every force that wants to hinder me from working for the Lord in Jesus name.
