WHAT WILL YOU BE REMEMBERED FOR? – Day 194
Text: NEHEMIAH 13:1-31
Memory Verse: Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and wipe not out my good deeds that I have done for the house of my God, and for the offices thereof. Nehemiah 13:14)
Message: In our text today, Nehemiah prayed for God to remember him and that God should not wipe out his good deeds which he had done for His house. That means Nehemiah must have laboured assiduously for God’s house. He must have made a mark or left a blueprint on the sand of time as far as God’s house was concerned in his time. Certainly God will remember the good deeds of Nehemiah because the word of God says that God is not unrighteous to forget our labour of love. What do you think God or people will remember concerning your life and your inputs in the house of God? There are some who always believe that they do not need to give or do anything because they believe others will do them. Some also erroneously think that whatever they are doing in God’s house they are actually doing it for men. And in their thinking they do not want to be a servant of any man. The truth is that we cannot see God with our eyes so we must serve God through people and through His house. But we must always understand that whatever we do in God’s house or for any individual, we are actually doing them for the Lord and He will reward us in due season.
Wisdom Nugget: Never refuse to do what you can do just because you cannot do everything, just play your part.
Prayer Point: Father, I receive the grace to labour tirelessly and selflessly in your kingdom in Jesus name.
