THE PROOF OF YOUR LOVE – Day 179

Text: 1 KINGS 3:1-28

Memory Verse: And Solomon loved the LORD, walking in the statutes of David his father: only he sacrificed and burnt incense in high places. And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there; for that was the great high place: a thousand burnt offerings did Solomon offer upon that altar. (1 Kings 3:3-4)

Message: Love is not true until it is demonstrated or manifested in action. God Himself said in His word that we should not love in word but in deeds and actions. Our actions show whether we are in love or not than whatever we may say with our lips. God showed His love for mankind by sending His only begotten son to die for the entire universe. Solomon proved his love for the Lord by offering a thousand burnt sacrifices for God. It is not enough to sing to God about how much we love Him, we must also demonstrate our love for Him by walking in obedience to His word, by giving sacrificially for the expansion of His kingdom. We can also show that we love Him by our love for others especially those who are disabled or disadvantaged or call it the less privileged. We can show how much we love God by our commitment and dedication to His work here on earth. What we do with the offering bags usually reveals the depth of our love for God or our value for Him.

Wisdom Nugget: No one cares how much you know, until they know how much you care.
