ESTEEM THEM VERY HIGHLY – Day 172

Text: 1 THESSALONIANS 5:1-28

Memory Verse: And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; And to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. And be at peace among yourselves (1 Thessalonians 5:12,13)

Message: We live in the days where men and women of God are no more respected but are more lampooned and criticized than any other groups or persons in our society. The devil will do everything to make us think that all the men of God are evil or bad. Of course we cannot outrightly say that there are no charlatans and black sheep among the so-called men and women of God. But it will amount to ignorance to generalize that all the men and women of God are the same simply because of those few bad ones. Even if the fake prophets seem to be more than the genuine ones, it will be wrong to classify all of them as one. The devil is very strategic in his confrontations. He knows that the value we place on the men of God determines the virtues that flows to us through them, so he will do everything to ensure that we do not believe in the men of God so that only little virtue or no virtue at all can flow to us. We must not forget as well that the men of God are also human, even though they carry the grace and the auction of God in their lives. We must love them; respect them not for their age or qualification but for the sake of their assignments.

Wisdom Nugget: The value you place on your man of God determines the virtues that flow to you through him.

Prayer Point: Father, help me to place great value on my pastor in Jesus name.
