FORGET YOUR PAST – Day 160

Text: PHILIPPIANS 3:1-21

Memory Verse: Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus (Philipians 3:13,14)

Message: God has a high calling for our lives and we must never settle down for low things. Whatever God called you to do in life and His kingdom, you can take it to the next level and do those things no matter how common in an extraordinary way. We are not called to just maintain status quo, we are called to make a difference and add value. The great Apostle Paul with all the great exploits and achievements in the kingdom of God did not see himself as someone who have achieved anything because in actual sense it is not achievement but God’s enablement. He said he did not see himself as someone who have arrived but someone that needs to press on and move on to the next level. He said “This one thing I do, forgetting the past”. We must forget the past failures, disappointments and even the past success and achievements so we can move on to the next level. God has a greater thing in store for us, where you are is not the highest height. Thank God for where you are but you can still go higher. Refuse to arrive too soon; to arrive too soon is to arrive too small.

Wisdom Nugget: To arrive too soon is to arrive too small. Nothing causes people to stagnate like early satisfaction.

Prayer Point: Father, I receive the grace to forge ahead in life. Nothing will impede my progress in Jesus name.
