DRAWING WATER FROM THE WELL OF SALVATION – Day 149
Text: ISAIAH 12:1-6
Memory Verse: Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation (Isaiah 12:3)
Message: Drawing water from the well of salvation can be described as drawing revelation and inspiration from the word of God. Apostle Paul writing Timothy his son in the faith said in 2 Timothy 3:15 “And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus”. The word of God can therefore be described as the wells of salvation and that same word makes us wise because it is also the wisdom of God. From today’s memory verse, we realized that we need an essential tool to draw from the wells of salvation and that tool is nothing but joy. There is no limit to the inspiration and revelation that we can draw from the word of God as God’s children when we are properly equipped with joy. Without joy the Bible will remain an ordinary book and the words will appear to us as mere letters. The Bible says that the letters killeth but the spirit giveth life. We need joy to get the best out of the word of God. That is why, we need to protect our joy so that the enemies will not rob us of it. The heaven is usually closed to people that grumbles, complains and murmurs.
Wisdom Nugget: Without joy, there is no inspiration or revelation.
Prayer Point: Father, I receive the grace to draw great revelation from your word in Jesus name.
